Working together
1. Agreement to Terms
By using my services, you agree to these terms. Please read them. If you do not agree, do not use my services.
2. Services
I design, build, host and optimise landing pages for trades businesses. I also offer paid ad management as an add-on. What you get is listed on my site and confirmed in writing before I start.
2.1 Momentum (£100/month)
A dedicated landing page built for your trade, plus hosting, copywriting, and ongoing optimisation. Billed monthly in advance. While you pay, you can use the page and included features. If you cancel or stop paying, the page goes offline. The page's code, templates and setup are my property and cannot be exported or moved to another platform.
2.2 Traffic (£500/month, on top of Momentum)
An optional add-on. I set up and run your Google Ads or Meta Ads campaigns, write the ad copy, supply ad images, install conversion tracking, and send a monthly report. You must hold an active Momentum subscription to use Traffic. The £500/month management fee covers monthly ad spend up to £2,500. A one-off £500 setup fee applies on starting Traffic, covering the ad account build. Billed monthly in advance. You can cancel Traffic without cancelling Momentum.
- Your ad budget is paid by you direct to Google and Meta. The £500/month Traffic fee is for the work listed below, not for ad spend.
- The Traffic fee covers:
- Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) campaign setup
- Writing ad copy and producing ad images
- Installing conversion tracking on the landing page
- Ongoing campaign optimisation
- A monthly performance report covering spend, clicks, leads and cost per lead
- You set the ad budget. I will not increase or move spend without your written approval.
- I do not guarantee any specific ad performance, cost per lead, ranking or volume. Ad results depend on factors outside my control (auction prices, seasonality, your offer, your competitors).
2.3 Hosting
I host your page while your subscription is active. You can use your own domain name and it stays yours. If you cancel, the page cannot be moved or exported.
2.4 Domain and SSL
I help connect your domain and set up SSL (the padlock). You pay for your domain. SSL is included while you subscribe.
2.5 Backups
I back up your page while you subscribe. I recommend you also keep copies of your content. Backups stop when your subscription ends.
2.6 Looking after your customers' data
Leads that come in through your landing page belong to you, not me. I just look after them on your behalf. I keep that data confidential, use proper security, only do what you tell me to with it, and give it back or delete it when this work ends. My full data practices are in the Privacy Policy.
3. Payment Terms
- Prices are in GBP and include VAT.
- Momentum is £100 a month, billed in advance.
- Traffic is £500 a month on top of Momentum, billed in advance, covering monthly ad spend up to £2,500. A one-off £500 setup fee applies on starting Traffic.
- A VAT invoice is issued for every payment.
- Ad spend on Google or Meta is paid by you direct to those platforms, not through me. The Traffic fee is separate from and on top of your ad budget.
- Extra work outside your plan may cost more.
- Late or missed payments may pause or end your service.
4. What's yours, what's mine
While you pay, you can use the site. If you cancel, access ends.
Yours: the words, photos and logos you give me, plus the contact details and leads that come in through your forms. Ask and I will send these over in a simple file.
Mine: the design, the code, the templates and the build behind your page. These do not transfer, not for free and not for a fee.
I also keep the right to:
- Use any pre-existing tools or materials I brought into the project
- Use any unused ideas or concepts that did not make it into your page
- Show the finished work in my portfolio
5. Cancellation
No long-term contracts. You can cancel any time. Key points:
- To cancel, email me at prof@professordesign.co.uk. I will confirm in writing.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. The current month is not refunded.
- You can cancel Traffic without cancelling Momentum. Cancelling Momentum will also end Traffic, since Traffic relies on the page I host.
- On cancellation of Momentum, your page goes offline. Your domain (which has always been yours) stays with you, and I can return your provided content and form submissions if you ask.
- I do not transfer the page's code, templates or build files. They remain my property.
- If I end the service, you only pay for work delivered up to that date.
5.1 What happens to the page if you leave
While you pay, the page is live and yours to use. If you cancel, the page comes offline. The build stays with me and cannot be moved, exported or handed to another provider. Your domain is yours, always, and you can point it wherever you want.
- The site files, templates and code do not transfer. Not for free, not for a fee.
- I can send back your words, photos and form leads if you ask.
- I do not sell or hand over the site or its code.
6. Lead Growth Guarantee
Important: This guarantee covers how well your page turns visitors into leads. It does not cover how many visitors you get or how much your ads cost. You need to be sending traffic to the page (through ads, social, your van, your business cards, anything) for the guarantee to count.
If your leads have not improved within 90 days of launch, I keep tweaking your page at no extra cost until they do. Conditions:
- You play your part:
- Give me access to your analytics and any ad accounts pointing at the page
- Keep marketing your business about as much as you were before
- Action my recommended changes within a reasonable time
- Reply and give feedback quickly
- What counts as improvement:
- The percentage of visitors who get in touch goes up compared to the starting point, measured over at least 14 days
- The starting point is set at launch, or in the first full 14 days after launch with proper traffic
- What "at no extra cost" means:
- Tweaks to the page, the form, the copy, the layout, and testing different versions to see which works better
- It does not include ad spend, ad management beyond what your Traffic plan already covers, content writing, link building, or anything outside the page itself
- When the guarantee does not apply:
- Your business pauses, changes what you offer, or starts targeting a different customer
- You do not action my recommended changes
- Traffic to the page drops sharply (I cannot improve a page no one visits)
- Outside factors like market changes, time of year, or new competitors
- The guarantee covers Momentum (the page). It does not cover Google or Meta ad-account performance, cost per click, cost per lead, ranking, or any specific number of leads, customers or revenue.
- I'll agree what counts as a "lead" with you based on your trade and what is normal for your business.
7. If something goes wrong
If I mess up and you lose money because of it, the most I can ever owe you is what you have paid me for the service. I am not on the hook for indirect or knock-on losses, like lost profits, missed jobs, or money spent fixing something with another supplier.
